DBT #0162: Hanna Lulgjuraj-Murray – Lived to Tell It
Hanna Lulgjuraj-Murray came to America from Yugoslavia, at the age of 10 months. After an arranged marriage, she became the victim of increasing domestic violence. Eventually, her abuser actually shot her in the chest, in front of her two very young daughters. Assuming she was dead, he called the police. When told that she was revived, he handed over the gun and confessed. Hanna did live, and has gone on to tell the story at every opportunity, in an effort to help victims of domestic abuse. This is a triumphant and inspiring tale of courage and determination.
In this episode of our podcast, David interviews the author, giving us an even deeper glimpse into the mind and heart of this survivor of domestic abuse.
